Afterwards, Dr. Graham will go over your findings and treatment options. We want you to be completely informed of your choices before proceeding with care. Our treatment recommendations tend to be conservative.

Laser Periodontal Therapy for Spartanburg, SC

We offer the best option for comfort and results in the treatment of periodontal disease. Laser Periodontal Therapy, or LANAP™, is a gentle, conservative, and less-invasive method of treating gum disease. It requires no cutting, suturing or removal of tissue. Using the Millennium Perio-Lase Laser, Dr. Graham is able to kill up to 99% of the disease-causing bacteria in the periodontal pockets.

Meet Dr. Graham

Richard W. Graham, earned his dental degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1988. He then completed his graduate training in periodontics at the University of Kentucky in 1990 where he also earned his masters degree in dental sciences.

Dr. Graham is a South Carolina native, having grown up in Conway. He began his periodontal practice in Spartanburg in 1990.

Dr. Graham is a member of the Spartanburg County Dental Society, the South Carolina Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology, the Southern Academy of Periodontology, and the South Carolina Society of Periodontics.

He has had the privilege of serving as president of both the South Carolina Society of Periodontics and the Spartanburg County Dental Society. He is also a "fellow" in the Peirre Fauchard Academy, an international dental honor society.

Dr. Graham has continued his training with continuing education courses in advanced bone grafting techniques, periodontal plastic surgery and implantology.

Dr. Graham lives in Spartanburg with his wife, Lisa, and two children, Meredith and Will. He is a member of the First Baptist Church of Spartanburg. When not busy with his family and professional activities, he can be seen on the tennis courts around town.
